BRON

The saga in six parts of Bron, who is born and brought up in the pagan settlement of Byden towards the end of the Roman occupation. The novels are inspired by archaeological excavations taking place at Beedon, north of Newbury, on top of the Berkshire downs.

Local people will recognise the features of the site and the surrounding countryside and villages as the story moves between Byden and Calleva Atrebatum (present-day Silchester).
