Photograph taken at a Kennet Valley Probus Club luncheon at The Chequers Hotel, Newbury. As well as my books, I am holding a shard of Roman pottery. Standing behind me are the Club committee with Rosemary Lockyer, founder and president, in the centre. She later wrote, Thank you for attending our lunch and giving such a splendid talk.
